What’s the deal with Ariana Grande’s pet pig?
This post provides all the details on Ariana Grande’s pet pig.
Last fall, Ariana Grande was in all the headlines, but not for the reasons you would expect.
The famous pop singer drew the interest of many when she adopted a “micro” pig, who she named Piggy Smallz.
However, this was not an ordinary “micro” pig.
When one Twitter follower explained that it was illegal to keep it as a pet in New York City, Ariana Grande explained that the pig was in fact an emotional support animal that she needed.
Arianna Grande has long relied upon her 9 dogs for emotional support. And this has really been the case ever since she started to open up about her clinical depression and PTSD – which stem from the terrorist attack that took place at her Manchester concert over 2 years ago.
An emotional support animal is a companion animal that a medical professional says provides some benefit for a person disabled by a mental health condition or emotional disorder.
Dogs, followed by cats, are most commonly registered as emotional support animals.
However, in recent times, we have occasionally seen other non-traditional support animals pop up in the news.
This was the case with the emotional support alligator that went viral earlier this year and this is the case with Ariana Grande’s pet pig.
Technically speaking, he is an emotional support pig!
Piggy Smallz is regularly featured on Arianna Grande’s social media. And he has been a source of comfort to her behind the scenes.
Her busy schedule is surely overwhelming and this little piggy has probably helped her out tremendously.
Piggy Smallz is quite popular himself and even has his very own Instagram with over half a million followers!
